 Athlete Tools & Resources

The management and staff of www.ontarioathletes.com takes great pride in our ability to listen to our athletes and their families.  We have received countless requests for assistance in building athlete profiles and resumes(paper and on-line).  We have also been asked repeatedly for information about post-secondary contacts in various sporting fields.

Our proud organization, www.ontarioathletes.com LTD  is pleased to provide this portal to help athletes prepare for their university careers.  Our services on this page will hopefully evolve and improve over time.  Please feel free to contact us to provide feedback, critical comment and suggestions.   These pages will be changing frequently over the next few weeks, so revisit this page often.

If you have any information that you feel could help athletes, please contact us by email or phone 652-9477.

2. Research Canadian Universities (CIS) Coaching Contacts

Once your profile is online and your video repository is complete on our website, you will need to contact your sport coordinator or coach for the universities you want to attend academically.

The following link will provide a list of Canadian University Head Coaches, including contact information.

3. Contact your preferred universities Coaching Staff  by letter and phone often.  Have your parents/guardians do the same.

Make sure you contact all of the schools often and have your parents involved.  Write each university often to explain your career and varsity athletic goals.  Below is an example letter.  Make sure you give the university some key information about you, your dreams, your goals, and why you wish to join their programs.

We recommend that you have your parents input.  Have them write, and especially talk to your future coaches.  Try to get as much input from the people that know and care about you the most, your parents, high school teachers, high school coaches, club coaches and friends about any concerns or questions you may have.
